چکیده

Abstract The leaves of Phaleria macrocarpa (Scheff.) Boerl is traditionally used to treat various diseases. contain flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, glycosides, saponins, and steroids. This study aimed identify the simplicia extract, as well ethanol extract’s antioxidant activity, from leaves. extract was quantitatively tested using UV-Visible Spectrophotometry for its total phenol flavonoid content. DPPH IC 50 test determined capacity. characterization revealed a water content 6.68 %, water-soluble 19.28 an ethanol-soluble 19.31 ash 12.27 acid-insoluble 4.84 %. 17.29 4.48 acid insoluble 0.63 55.08 mgGAE/g extracts, level 76.96 extracts. results indicated that had high potential with value 73.91 ppm.

Stereochemistry of lignans in Phaleria macrocarpa (Scheff.) Boerl.

Phaleria macrocarpa (Scheff.) Boerl., a member of the Thymelaeaceae, is traditionally used in Indonesia as medicinal plant against cancer. In this context, we isolated the lignans pinoresinol, lariciresinol and matairesinol from different parts of this plant. The enantiomeric composition of these lignans was determined by chiral column analysis. Pinoresinol and lariciresinol were mixtures of bo...
